Terms of use

Last updated 17 August 2026

These terms cover your use of Casting Platform (“the platform”, “we”, “us”). They apply to everybody: talent building a profile, clients commissioning work, and visitors reading the public pages. By registering you accept them.

1. What we do

We are a managed casting agency. Clients describe a shoot; we curate a shortlist of talent, confirm availability, and manage the booking, the agreement and the payment. We are a party to every booking made through the platform — not a noticeboard where two other people meet.

2. Who may register

Talent must be at least 16. Anybody under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian recorded on the platform, who consents to their registration and countersigns any contract. Clients must register as a company or as an individual authorised to commission work on that company’s behalf; we verify company details before confirming a first booking.

You must give accurate information and keep it current. Availability, contact details and identity documents that are out of date cost somebody else a booking.

3. Briefs, shortlists and bookings

  • A brief is a request, not an order. We may decline one, and we will say so rather than send a shortlist we do not believe in.
  • A shortlist is a proposal. It becomes a booking only when the client confirms and the talent accepts, and it is only binding once the contract for that booking is signed by everybody who has to sign it.
  • Fees are agreed before a booking is confirmed. A client is quoted one figure per person, inclusive of our commission; talent are told the fee they will receive before they accept.
  • Cancellation terms are set out in the booking agreement and depend on how close to the shoot date the cancellation happens.

4. Going around the agency

The platform exists because we sit in the middle of every booking. Accordingly:

  • Talent contact details are never published or given to clients. Do not ask for them, and do not put your own in a profile, a brief, a message or a file.
  • If you meet somebody through this platform, work with them through this platform. Taking a booking off-platform to avoid commission is a breach of these terms.
  • We may suspend or close an account that does either, and we may withhold payouts on bookings connected to the breach.

5. Content you upload

You keep ownership of the photographs, video and text you upload. You grant us a licence to show them on the platform, in shortlists sent to clients, and in watermarked previews — for as long as your profile is active. You must have the right to upload what you upload; do not upload somebody else’s work, somebody else’s face, or anything obscene or unlawful.

We moderate uploads and may refuse or remove anything, including for reasons as simple as a photograph not showing what a client needs to see.

6. Usage rights in commissioned work

What a client may do with footage from a booking — for how long, in which territories, on which platforms — is stated in that booking. Nothing on this page grants a client rights beyond it. Talent may show finished commissioned work in their own portfolio unless the booking says otherwise.

7. Payments

Clients pay the agency against an invoice. We pay talent after the shoot, according to the booking, and record every payout against it. We do not hold client money for any purpose other than settling the booking it was paid for.

8. What we are responsible for

We are responsible for running the casting process with reasonable care: verifying profiles, checking availability honestly, papering bookings, and paying talent what was agreed. We are not responsible for the creative outcome of a shoot, for a client’s production, or for events outside our control — and where somebody we booked lets a client down, our obligation is to replace them and to make the position good under the booking, not to underwrite the production.

9. Suspension and closure

We may suspend an account for a breach of these terms, for conduct on a shoot that puts somebody at risk, or where identity cannot be verified. You may close your account at any time; bookings already confirmed still stand, and we keep the records the law requires us to keep.

10. Changes

We may change these terms. Material changes are notified to registered users, and the date at the top of this page always says when the wording last changed.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chandigarh have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms should come through the account you registered with, or the routes on our contact page.
